Several Bluffton High School players received all Northwest Conference football honors this year.
They include on offense:
• Mitchell Ault, senior, first team, quarterback
• Dakota Bricker, sophomore, first team, receiver
• Sam Crisp, senior, honorable mention
• Dustin Falk, junior, honorable mention

It’s never easy to win in certain venues and Clymer Stadium in Columbus Grove is a prime example.

Despite racking up yardage, first downs and generally outplaying the host Bulldogs for most of the game, Bluffton found themselves trailing late in the fourth quarter.
That’s when Mitchell Ault scrambled from the six yard line and completed a pass to Joel Siefker that allowed BHS to win the game by a 10-7 score.
Six members of the Bluffton High School girls' soccer team received all-Northwest Conference honors at the end of the season. Bluffton finished in 3rd place at 4-1-1 and 5-10-1 overall.
First team from Bluffton:
• Abbie Parkins, junior
• Jadyn Barhorst, junior
Second team from Bluffton:
• Kayla Kindle, sophomore
• Katie Burkholder, junior
• Aylssa Snider, senior
Honorable mention from Bluffton:
•Averey Rumer, freshman
Bluffton High School's football team is currently 9th in Division VI Region 22 Ohio computer rankings.
With one regular season game to play, with a BHS win at Columbus Grove and a loss by one of the top 8 teams, the Pirates have a chance to make the playoffs.
Along with cheering for a Pirate victory, Bluffton fans should also take up a rooting interest in Twins Valley South who play Miami East (8th spot) Friday night.
Samantha Fruchey, Bluffton senior, will participate in the District 8 All-Star volleyball match held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Bluffton University’s Sommer Center.
Fruchey is on the Division I-II-III East team. Coaching the East team is Cristy Gray, Liberty Benton and Mike Etzler, Coldwater.
In addition, Andie Schmutz of Bluffton was named to the Division I-II-III all-district second team.
