The spring weather has helped to keep the Lady Pirates bats warmed up and blasting hits, as the Pirates welcomed the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets in a backyard ballgame Wednesday.

The Pirates coming off an 11-1 win against Leipsic, were back on the attack early with a first inning double play by Katie Palte and Ashlin Gable to end the inning for the Rockets.

A little bit of sunshine is all it took to get the Lady Pirates another W in the win column. BHS defeated Leipsic 11-1 earlier this week.

After three postponed games (Pandora-Gilboa, Liberty Benton, and Allen East), the Pirates were back on the offensive hosting Leipsic in non-conference play.

The Pirates started off slow with only one hit by Molly Lengyel and scoring only Shannon McKamey in the first inning. The Viking defense locked the Pirates in a 1-1 tie until the fourth inning.
