Three former Bluffton High athletes and a head track coach participated in the NCAA Division II indoor track and field national championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico, held March 11 and 12.

Shane Shockey of the University of Findlay, finished second in the pole vault with a vault of 16 feet 10 3/4 inches.

John Guagenti of the University of Findlay University, finished fifth as part of the 4x400 relay team.

Kendra Bassett of Ashland University, finished 11th in the pentalon.

The Bluffton University men's basketball team fell to Anderson in the first round of the Heartland Conference tournament at Manchester College on Friday, February 25, 2011.

The Ravens went up 24-4 midway through the first period and Bluffton never recovered as the No. 3 seed dispatched the Beavers by a final score of 75-60. Bluffton ended its season with a 15-11 mark, while Anderson improved to 18-8 on the year. The Ravens move into the HCAC semi-finals at 5 p.m. on Saturday against No. 2 seed Hanover College before Manchester hosts Transylvania at 7 p.m.

Bluffton High School girls' basketball season ended in the opening sectional tournament round on Feb. 22. Leipsic defeated Bluffton 62 to 48 in a contest at Ottawa-Glandorf.
