Girl Scouts offer chili dinner at Common Grounds Friday

This year Troop 8 has been working on creating a healthy after school cookbook. At every GS meeting, the Troop, has been cooking and devouring some healthy snacks. So to kickoff the beginning of selling our cookbook, Troop 8 will be cooking a Chili dinner that will be sold at Common Grounds this Friday. (Jan. 29).

Cultural Affairs Committee launches music series

FIRST PROGRAM ALASKA STRING BAND ON FEB. 15

The Bluffton Cultural Affairs Committee has announced a new entertainment option for the community.

"We will be hosting a monthly concert series in the newly renovated third floor of the town hall," said Wendy Chappell-Dick, of the committee. "Opening the series is the Alaska String Band, on tour through the United States. This family bluegrass band will play Monday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m."

BCE hosts "Selling made simple" seminar Feb. 11


Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs
will host an evening seminar "Selling Made Simple," according to John Bauer, executive director of BCE.

The seminar is from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11, in Room 113 of Centennial Hall, Bluffton University. There is no charge to attend.
Deb Peters, certified networking guru, and sales training expert, will present the seminar.

Nancy Benroth re-elected secretary-treasurer of Blanchard River Watershed Partnership

Note: Following are portions of the Jan. 6 minutes of the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership meeting. Bluffton is a contributing member of the partnership and Nancy Benroth, Bluffton's representative to the group, was re-elected the group's secretary-treasurer.

Cultural auction night to benefit Haiti

The Ohio Northern University Asian American Student Union (AASU), in cooperation with the Muslim and Indian Student Associations, will hold its first Cultural Auction Night to benefit the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti on Feb. 10 in the McIntosh activities room from 6-9 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.
