Funeral services for Chris Bricker on Wednesday

Chris Bricker

Christopher Jay Bricker, 38, Columbus Grove, died at 10:33 p.m., Feb. 26, 2010, in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born April 21, 1971 in Lima to Jay and Pam (Morton) Bricker. On Aug. 13, 1994, he married Tracie Best and she survives.

Mr. Bricker had worked at Grob Systems, Inc., Bluffton, as a fabricator. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bluffton. He was a member of the Eagles, Columbus Grove. He coached his sons in midget football and wrestling. He was a graduate of Bluffton High School.

COFFEE WITH THE CHAMBER

The first-ever Friday morning "Coffee with the Chamber" attracted over a dozen members to Common Grounds on Feb. 26. The open agenda enabled members to talk about concerns and suggestions for the community. The next coffee session is Friday, March 5. Coffee is provided by The Icon. (Phil Zimmerly photo)

Austin Arnold is the winter-spring Icon journalism intern from Bowling Green State University. The senior journalism major has written several feature stories for the Icon. His most recent tells about 5 Myles High's recent music CD. Here he interviews Paula Scott of the Friends of the Library. That feature will be posted later in the week.

E. Wayne Kidd, 89, Bluffton, died Feb. 25, 2010, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. He was born Jan. 14, 1921, to Cloyce and Lola (Cook) Kidd in Allen County. On Feb. 14, 1944, he married Jeanette Stephens and she survives.

Mr. Kidd retired from the Van Buren Township road maintenance and he was also a farmer. He attended Maranatha Bible Church, Van Buren. He was a member of the VFW Post, Findlay, American Legion Post 3, Findlay, DAV Chapter 43, and Military Order of the Purple Heart. He graduated from Columbus Grove High School.

Roger Diller was retired co-owner of Family True Value Hardware

Roger Diller

Roger W. Diller, 79, of Bluffton, died at 9:10 p.m., Feb. 25, 2010, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. He was born March 3, 1930, to Earl and Alma (Luginbill) Diller in Richland Township, Allen County, Ohio. On July 5, 1949, he married Marjorie Gratz and she survives.

Mr. Diller was retired co-owner of Family True Value Hardware, Bluffton. He also had owned Diller Plumbing and Electric and had been a co-owner of Community Hardware, Pandora.
