On September 26 ground was broken on the Bluffton Soccer Complex to be developed on land donated by and adjacent to SumiRiko Ohio on Snider Rd near the Bluffton Community Pool and Bluffton YMCA.

Second Lions Way pathway dedicated in September 2024

On September 17 the Bluffton Lions and the Village of Bluffton held a ceremony dedicating the addition of a bike and pedestrian pathway along Jefferson St./State Route 103 from County Line Road to I-75, following close on the heels of a September 3 dedication of the new County Line pathway.

The S.R. 103 Lions Way segment improves access to housing, a hotel, restaurants, gas stations, shops and other businesses along this stretch of road. This is the busiest and fastest section of road in the Village. Some 20 businesses are located on or near the new pathway.

League of Women Voters hosts forum on journalism

6:30 p.m. on October 1, Lima Public Library

The League of Women Voters of the Lima Area will hold an informational, hour-long forum, "How Journalism  Works" on Tuesday, October 1.

Dr. Shane Tilton, an  Associate Professor of Writing and Multimedia Studies at Ohio Northern University, will discuss why journalism is still important, especially when we get information from fragmented sources, and how journalism works as a cornerstone for society.

BLUFFTON – The undefeated Bluffton High School football team dominated visiting Lima Central Catholic 35-0 in a Northwest Conference battle on a wet and windy Homecoming night at Harmon Field Friday, September 27.

The stingy Pirate defense limited LCC to just 41 total yards, while the offense rolled up 409 yards. Quarterback Tayte Giesige rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns to pace the potent ground game.
