Bluffton Public Library’s April 2023 programs and services

The Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main, has issued a comprehensive update for events and programs taking place during the month of April 2023:

Pirate softball shut out at Carey

Pirates home opener vs. Arcadia is 5 p.m. on April 4

CAREY–Bluffton High School lost to Carey 10-0 in a non-league softball bout Friday evening, March 31.

The Pirates dropped to 2-1 after suffering their first loss.

Pirates hosted March 28 track meet

A gallery of photos by Jamie Nygaard provides a track and field-level view of the March 28 home meet hosted by Bluffton High School at Bluffton University. The BHS Pirates competed against the Bellefontaine Benjamin Logan Raiders and the Lima Bath Wildcats. See Bluffton results HERE.

The Bluffton High School boys track and field team won a three-team meet at the Bluffton University facility on Tuesday, March 28. Bath and Ben Logan also competed in the event.

Several Pirates posted first-place finishes at the meet (complete Bluffton results HERE.):

Senior Sam Derstine crossed the line first in the boys 800 meters (2:02.4). Classmate Eden Antrim came home first in the 1600 (4:51.2).

St. Mary's Holy Week schedule

St. Mary's Catholic Church, 160 N. Spring St., has provided the attached schedule for 2023 Holy Week services including April 6, Holy Thursday; April 7, Good Friday; April 8, East Vigil; April 9, Easter Sunday.
