Karen King worked for Westinghouse and Honda

Karen King, 73, of Cairo, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at her home. She was born on September 21, 1948 in Ottoville to the late Edward and Lucille (Ellerbrock) Sanders.

She married her love, Jim King on May 10, 1975 and they lived together in Cairo for 44 years until his recent passing on October 22, 2021.

Bassitt named Great Midwest Athlete of the Year; competes in World Championships July 16

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has selected Trevor Bassitt, its most decorated track & field athlete, as one of two Great Midwest Athletes of the Year. Bassitt and Findlay’s Kristina Kniesly claimed the awards as the top performers for the 2021-22 year and will be recognized at conference meetings this summer.

Bassitt has qualified to run in 400m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships 2022, with the preliminary heats scheduled for July 16.

How can Bluffton be a safer place for people to walk, bike and drive?

The Bluffton Complete Streets Committee is working to make walking and biking easier and safer in Bluffton. Its goal is to enhance safety and facilitate movement in the village for all who use the streets, including pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

Findlay, OH⎯The following local students have been announced on the Univeristy of Findlay's dean's list for the 2022 spring semester.

To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
