Summary of March 27 Bluffton Council Meeting

After the Pledge of Allegiance, Mayor Richard Johnson opened the March 27 Bluffton council meeting by leading a moment of silence in recognition of the school shooting that occurred earlier in the day, killing three children and three adults at a Christian school in Nashville. After a minute, and without comment, the Mayor moved on to the first item, approving the prior meeting's minutes.

NATURE FOOLS
At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District will offer Nature Fools at the McElroy Environmental Education Center, 2355 Ada Rd. Lima.

Boyd on the waxing and waning of direct seed sowing

GARDEN CLUB LECTURE
6:00 p.m. - Tuesday, April 4

The Gardeners of the Bluffton/Pandora Area (GBPA) invite the public to a lecture  by Ann Boyd (Herbalist and Owner of My Own Backyard) on “the Waxing and Waning of direct seed sowing.” 

Boyd will talk about which herbs, flowers and veggies grow best from sowing directly into the ground, plus much more.

The event at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main, is free and open to the public. Organizers note, "PLEASE bring a friend!"

Seth Clark named Head Men's Basketball Coach at Bluffton

Bluffton University has named Seth Clark as its next head men's basketball coach. He will start his head coaching duties on April 5, 2023.
