Tami L. Hardy taught at Bluffton Schools

Tami L. Hardy, 65, passed away September 14, 2024, at The Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center.

Tami was born July 29, 1959 in Bluffton to Luther and Geneva (Stamm) Shetler who preceded her in death. On May 31, 1982 she married Michael "Mick" Hardy and he survives.

Fifteen musical groups, 12 locations celebrated Bluffton's first PorchFest

On August 31 the sounds of rock, funk, jazz, rap and more rang out through the neighborhoods of Bluffton as the 1st annual PorchFest kicked off. The event was Bluffton’s version of a worldwide celebration of music--Play Music on the Porch Day--that is held on the last Saturday in August in over 70 countries and more than 1,000 cities across the globe.

Pirates split VB tri; win streak snapped by state-ranked Rams

OTTAWA HILLS __ The Bluffton Pirate volleyball team split a very tough non-league triangular match Saturday, September 14, at Ottawa Hills.

In their first match, the Pirates lost in three sets to undefeated and state-ranked Defiance Tinora. Bluffton won the second game in overtime before dropping the decisive third set.

The 25-18, 25-27, 25-15 defeat snapped the Bluffton win streak at nine matches in a row. 

In their second match of the day, the Pirates rebounded to sweep host OH 25-22, 25-22 and improve their record to 11-2.

Pirates football tames Wildcats with huge 2nd period

DELPHOS__ The visiting Bluffton High School football team walloped Delphos Jefferson 52-7 in their Northwest Conference opener on a hot and rare Saturday afternoon regular season contest, September 14, on Champions Field.

A monster 35-point second quarter propelled the Pirates to the romp victory. Bluffton led 14-0 after the opening stanza, then tallied five touchdowns in the decisive second period.

The defending league co-champion Pirates improved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the NWC with the lopsided win.
