CrispyJo restaurant opens with crispy chicken and Mediterranean menu

A local dining gap has been filled with the opening of CrispyJo at 415 State Route 103, the western-most restaurant along Bluffton’s “Restaurant Row” near I-75. The building previously housed KFC and then Li CO restaurant and has been empty for some years. In January 2024 the installation of a new sign revealed that the wait for an additional dining option was almost over.

LIBERTY CENTER__The visiting Bluffton girls basketball team fell victim to a huge third quarter outburst and lost 67-39 at state-ranked non-league foe Liberty Center Saturday afternoon.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School boys basketball team suffered through two cold quarters and lost 60-42 to visiting non-conference rival Pandora-Gilboa on Saturday, February 3.

Bluffton High School class of 1913
Born: Feb. 10, 1895
Died: Aug. 6, 1980

Call him Bluffton’s professional soldier. Recipient of the Legion of Merit,  the nation’s highest military award for non-combat service, Rene R. Studler served in many capacities in two world wars and became the U.S. Army’s chief of research and development on small arms, holding that post until his retirement.

• Under his direction and direct involvement, the U.S. Navy created the fighter plane ejection seat and canopy removers, 

• Chaired the development of the .30 caliber M1 carbine,
