Bluffton University provides many artistic and cultural events to supplement learning in the classroom. The following February 2024 are open to the public and are free unless otherwise noted. See the university calendar for a full semester listing. 

Hook: Drug advertising

In 1991, the film Hook directed by Steven Spielberg was released. The film was the sequel to the 1911 novel Peter & Wendy. The movie starred Robin Williams as Peter Pan, Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook, and Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell. Jimmy Buffett and David Crosby made cameo appearances as pirates in the movie.

Bluffton Diamond Sports has announced 2024 Baseball & Softball Registration information for the following youth divisions:

Baseball 

  • Ages 7-8: Coach Pitch Instructional League Season Dates: Middle of May-June
  • Ages 9-10: Minor League Season Dates: Beginning of May-June
  • Ages 11-12: Jr. Pony League Season Dates: Beginning of May - June

Renee Matthews, RN, has been named the new administrator of Bluffton Hospital, 139 Garau St., a division of Blanchard Valley Health System.

History of Radio and Watercolor Painting CLEO courses announced

First Mennonite Church of Bluffton has announced two courses to be part of its CLEO (Continued Learning Elder Organization) program for spring 2024. You are invtied to "Come to Learn, Stay for Community." Courses are free; materials fees may apply.
