First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St., will observe Mission Sunday on Sunday, July 12. All are invited to hear the Mission Partners, Nancy Frey and Bruce Yoder, preach on "Working Together in God’s Mission" during the worship service at 10:30 a.m.
During the Sunday school hour at 9:15 a.m., Nancy will meet with the children's large group class and Bruce with the adults.
The community is also invited to attend an information conversation with the Frey Yoders and their children, Jeremiah and Deborah, at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 11, in the church's fellowship hall.
The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association and the Bluffton Area Community Assistance Program will again provide free school supplies to children who are on the free and/or reduced lunch program in the Bluffton school district.
The supplies will be provided from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 1, at St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Seven area churches are preparing for a community-wide vacation Bible school program to be held Sunday, July 19, through Thursday, July 23, at Bluffton Presbyterian Church.
Children age 4 through 5th grade are welcome to attend without any fee. The VBS program will meet each night from 6-8 p.m.

Pleasant View and Mount Cory United Methodist Churches will co-host vacation Bible school August 3-7 from 6-8 p.m. at Mt. Cory UMC, 300 N. Main. Pre-registration will be August 2 @ BFLC from 6-8 p.m. The week will conclude with a joint service on Sunday, August 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Cory followed by a community cook-out at the BFLC. Service will include the children singing songs they learned during VBS.
Former Bluffton residents Jerry and Leonor Kennell, now North American ambassadors to SEMILLA, the Latin American Anabaptist Seminary, will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, June 15 at First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St.
All are welcome to visit with the Kennells and learn more about SEMILLA, including information about their unique joint programming relationship with Bluffton University, as well as an upcoming Guatemala learning tour.
