English Lutheran Church is offering a new Bible study, "Who Do We Say That Jesus Is? --What Jesus means to us for our lives in the 21st Century."
"In this study we will look at how Jesus has been 'pictured' and understood in the media, in the Creeds of the Church, and in the New Testament writings, trying to discover what Jesus can mean for us living in the 21st century," said Rev. Kevin Mohr, pastor.
The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) is planning an outdoor community worship service on Sunday July 28, at 9 a.m.
This worship service comes at the end of a week of Vacation Bible School (VBS) hosted this year at the First Mennonite Church. The theme for the service is “Many Gifts, One Spirit,” growing out of the VBS curriculum. Worship will include music by the children who attended VBS and several brief reflections about the new things that are happening in the community.
Beginning on Tuesday, June 18, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main St., Jenera, will offer a week-night service at 7:30 p.m. for those not able to attend a Sunday morning service during the summer.
Regular Sunday services will still be held at 8 and 10:30 a.m. with Sunday School and Bible Classes for all ages at 9:20 a.m.
The Tuesday service will be a shortened version of the Sunday before. For more information, please visit tlcjenera.org
