Vacation Bible School will be held from Sunday, July 8, to Thursday, July 12, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran School, Jenera.

"Back to Jerusalem" is the theme of the program. Children will learn about Jesus as they travel back in time to the ancient city of Jerusalem.

Along with Bible lessons, there will be crafts, music and games. Children entering Pre-school to having completed the sixth grade are welcome.

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association will conduct its annual outdoor community worship service at 9 a.m., Sunday, July 29, on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn.

The theme will be "For the Beauty of the Earth" and we will continue the Vacation Bible School theme from the previous week," according to Rev. Carol Clements, St. John's pastor and ministerial association member. St. John's UCC will host this year's VBS.

Bluffton Community Vacation Bible School will be in session this summer from Sunday, July 22, through Thursday, July 26, from 6 - 8:30 p.m.

A dinner and concert is planned at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Mt. Cory, according to Jerry Lewis, pastor.

A spaghetti, salad, dessert and beverage meal for a donation will take place at the church from 5 to 6:15 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m. The Scioto Ridge Boys Quartet from Powell, will perform a concert. A freewill offering will be received. Proceeds from the event will go toward local missions.

The church is located at 300 Township Road 37.

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District. The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four.

In order to pick up a box, persons must register by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 18, by calling 419-384-3905 and giving your phone number and name.

Boxes will be available for pickup on Saturday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at the Pandora United Methodist Church located on State Route 12.
