Although school is not out for the summer, plans are underway for a late-summer back-to-school event held at Bethel Church of Christ on Sunday, Aug. 21, according to Gideon Fisher, who is planning the event.
The event is called “Urge” and it is a free, community-wide, student, back-to-school event.
Fisher explained the event this way:
“The focus of Urge is to encourage students (junior high through college age) to do well in the upcoming school year but more importantly to urge them to be who God wants them to be in their schools.
The Pandora United Methodist Church will hold a free community meal Wednesday, April 27 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. The meal this month is provided by Lita’s Leaders and friends. The menu is tacos, rice, refried beans, salsa and chips, blueberry muffin and beverage.
A free hunting seminar titled “Hunting the Rut” will be given by Charles Alsheimer on Saturday, April 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Mennonite Church. Alsheimer is also speaking at the 15th annual wild game event held later that evening (tickets required) and will again speak during the morning worship service on Sunday, April 10 at 10:15 a.m.
Ebenezer Mennonite Church will hold a Wild Game Event at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9.
This year's speaker is Charles Alsheimer, an award-winning outdoor writer,
nature photographer and whitetail consultant. Alsheimer will present a seminar on "Hunting the Rut" at 3:30 p.m.
Pleasant View United Methodist Church will be hold a Soup Lunch Benefit on
Sunday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pleasant View UMC at 300 CR# 37,
Bluffton.
Proceeds will be going to the Mount Cory/Pleasant View UMC Mission Book
Mobile Project. In addition to your monetary donation, you are welcome to
bring a book for the book mobile.
Bluffton Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) invites the public to participate in its March 25 Good Friday Procession of the Cross. This year's walk begins at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
