Bluffton Police Department is reminding motorists to Click It or Ticket.
As part of the national seat belt enforcement campaign, law enforcement agencies around the country will be stepping up enforcement May 18 to 31, just ahead of one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.
“Every day, unbuckled motorists are losing their lives in motor vehicle crashes,” said Sergeant Matt Oglesbee. “As we approach Memorial Day weekend and the summer vacation season, we want to make sure people are doing the one thing that can save them in a crash, buckling up.”
This year’s event includes 85 booths featuring area crafters plus Bluffton businesses. The show, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will stretch along Main Street from Elm Street to the post office.
Here’s what the day involves:
• Booths on Main Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Farmers’ market from 8:30 a.m. to noon
• Pony rides at south end of Main, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Local food vendors, during the day
• Entertainment, late morning and early afternoon
There will be rugs...and there will be crafts..there will be pony rides...there will be music...there will be food...there will be llamas...there will be a used book sale...and there will be a farmers' market. You will find all of these things on Main Street on Saturday during the 44th annual Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce arts and crafts festival. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
