The early bird may get the worm, but the March bee is the friendliest guy we know. After all, what better sign of spring is a bee in a bloom of snowdrops. We found this bee on South Main Street on March 15.

The Pandora United Methodist Church is hosting the Pandora Ladies Lenten Breakfast Tuesday, March 31 in the church fellowship hall. The continental breakfast and program will begin at 9 a.m. RSVP by Tuesday, March 24 to Jody Myerholtz, 419-615-0802, or Pat Basinger, 419-615-0284. The church is located on state route 12 at 108 E. Washington Street in Pandora.

The ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter will host an ALS Meet & Greet session in Bluffton from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, on the third floor of the Bluffton town hall, 154 N. Main St.

The gathering is designed for people with ALS, their families and caregivers, and others who have been caregivers in the past for someone with ALS. The purpose of the meeting is to share information and resources that can be helpful to those who are impacted by ALS, and to share insights gained as part of the ALS journey.

Tickets are available for the final performance in the 2014-15 Bluffton University Artist Series, by husband-and-wife illusionists Kevin and Cindy Spencer at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9.

Pass it on - Cash Mob at CG Pro Bikes, 127 N. Main St., Bluffton, 3:30-5:30 p.m., Thursday, March 19.

According to Liz and Raymond Harner of CG Pro Bikes, during cash mob hours there will be several discounts on bike products and accessories in the shop, including 35 percent off all clothing, shoes and pedals.

In addition, shoppers may sign up for a $50 shopping spree at the store.  This year the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with downtown merchants will hold a cash mob in one business each month.
