The shot, at the buzzer of the first quarter, was all net. Kisler heaved the shot that easily traveled three-fourth of the court. As a point of verification, the Icon asked long-time Pirate fan Bob Badertscher, who played for BHS in the 1950s: "Was that the longest shot you ever saw in a BHS gym?" Badertscher answered in the affirmative.

The 44th annual downtown event moves to the third Saturday of May this year, making it Saturday, May 16. In recent years it was held on the Saturday prior to Mother's Day.

Shots were not falling and points were not adding up for the Pirates as they played host to the Kenton Wildcats on Tuesday night, Jan. 27, but a strong defensive effort from the home team helped tame a physical Wildcats offense and helped lead BHS to a low scoring, 43-37 victory.
The win pushed the Pirates record to 11-3 (1-2 NWC) and helped them extend their record to 3-1 against Western Buckeye League opponents this season.
