Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs today (Oct. 10) announced prize money and seminar dates its 2015 Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition.

SEVERAL ATTACHMENTS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS STORY PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS ON ENTERING THE COMPETITION.

• First place prize is $4,000 in business start-up costs.
• Second place is $1,500 in start-up.
• Third place is $500 in start-up costs.

During the first home Bluffton High School football game of 2013 the Icon snapped a photo of four 2013 BHS seniors sitting in the first row. They are, from left, Sydnee Scoles, Karli Leugers, Adrian Rumer and Kyla Dawson. Then, in a manner of speaking, 365 days later - at the first 2014 BHS football, look who is sitting in the same front row seats. It's Adrian Rumer, Karli Leugers and Kyla Dawson (Sydnee Scoles was awol, but was present in spirit.) These two photos were not planned. We can only wonder who might sit in these same seats in September 2015.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton’s third Heartland Conference match of the year brought Mount St. Joseph to the Sommer Center for a mid-week showdown between the Lions and the Beavers. Bluffton improved to 16-6 overall and 3-0 in the HCAC by downing the always-tough Lions in five sets.

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University women’s soccer team used a late first half goal to lead them to a 1-1 tie against the Anderson University Ravens on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The Beavers moved to 3-7-1 overall and 0-1-1 in HCAC play, while the home team stands 6-4-1 and 1-0-1 in the conference.

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University men’s soccer team battled until the end with one of the best teams in the Heartland Conference before a late goal propelled the Anderson University Ravens to a 1-0 victory. The loss is the first HCAC loss for the Beavers, putting them at 1-1 in the conference and 4-8 overall. The Ravens jumped to 2-0 in the HCAC and 8-4 overall.
