Book ReViews, 123 S. Main St., Bluffton, will hold a genealogy and family history roundtable discussion with Joanne Vercler Niswander from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, according to Dr. Christina Walton, manager.
"Discover more about genealogy, also called family history, the study of families and the tracing of their lineages and history in this roundtable discussion of methods used by Joanne Niswander, author of four books on family research," said Walton.

The 2013-2014 Local State Report Card was officially released to the public last Friday by the Ohio Department of Education for every district in the state, and we are pleased to announce that we have scored the highest ever as a school district.

An “Ultimate Date Night Event,” takes place for couples at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Columbus Grove Road, Bluffton, according to Dale Seefeldt, family pastor.
The program will be presented by Jay and Laura Laffoon, authors of several books and DVDs, billed as “marriage edu-tainers,” who place their real marriage of almost 30 years on display. Their weekly online talk show Jay & Laura TV offers tips on connecting as a couple and a family. The Laffoons have two children and live in Michigan.
A Drew Rayle memorial football game will take place between the Bluffton Bucs and North Baltimore Tigers midget football teams at North Baltimore at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4.
Drew died earlier this year. He attended school in North Baltimore and later moved to Bluffton where he attended school. He played midget football for both teams.
The game will include a $1 donation admission. Additional activities include a 50/50 drawing, bake sale, T-shirt sale, food for sale and a balloon release at halftime.
PrimeTimers Fellowship will meet at noon, Tuesday, Oct. 7, at St. John Mennonite Church, 15988 Road 4, Pandora.
PrimeTimers is a ministry of St. John Mennonite Church and Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.
The Pandora-Gilboa High School Choir will present a musical program at the event. A free luncheon includes cubed steak, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, rolls, caramel fudge brownies and coffee. The meal is provided for persons attending. Donations are accepted.
