Many events are planned in September in Allen County. Here's a list of some of those activities from the Lima/Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

There's a red hot manager's special at Kirtland's Auto Sales, 302 N. Main St., Bluffton, according to Jim Kinn, manager.

Bluffton opened up the season with a blowout win of Cory-Rawson, winning 49-13.
The Pirates dominated on defense and on the ground, racking up 304 yards and three turnovers, two for touchdowns.

Dylan Ault started the scoring with 35-yard interception return for a touchdown early in the game and then Clay Wilson returned a fumble 35 yards for another defensive score.

Bluffton’s offense finally got on the field and Noah Stratton sprinted 42 yards for the first offensive touchdown of the season and to close the 1st half 22-0.

Jason Stechschulte, Findlay, was the fastest of 75 runners in Saturday's BFR Sports and Fitness 5-K. He ran the course in 18:46.

The first woman to finish was Jaime Combs in 22:47.
