The windows may have been shattered, but not the spirit at Mustard Seed Café. 

In the early hours of Wednesday, May 29th, there was a break-in at Bluffton’s newest restaurant which had just opened on March 22nd.    There was extensive damage to the kitchen, including the food storage area.  It took staff four days to clean up the debris, wash all the dishes and cookware, and restock the pantry. 

The U-10 Bluffton Galaxy girls soccer team  took 1st place at the Riverdale Spring Classic held on May 18 and 19. 

They went 3-0 in their pool with a combined score of 22-5 over the 3 games.  They ended the season with a 9-2 record. 

The team consists of (left to right in picture) Lauren Gray, Samantha Scoles, Olivia Pittsenbarger, Reagan Mittendorf, Amber Gladwell, Skyler Scoles, Haelyn Bischoff, Kylie Monday, Anna Davies, Maeve Donaldson. 

The team is coached by Jeremy Scoles and Steve Mittendorf.

Chase Bank and Jeanne's Kitchen are joining forces for Bluffton's American Cancer Society Relay for Life

Proceeds from Sales at Jeanne's Kitchen will be donated for meals served Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Appetizers, salad, steak pizzaiola or fish, Italian vegetable and homemade Italian dessert will be served.

Bluffton Diamond Sports raised over $3,000 in a raffle this spring, according to Erinn Prater, organization president.

Carol Ann Reigle, 79, died June 2, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.  She was born Oct. 12, 1933 in Findlay to the late Harold and Margaret (Gordon) Frontz.  On March 28, 1954 she married Clarence D. Reigle and he died June 15, 2001.

Mrs. Reigle retired from Marathon Oil Company, Findlay, and had been a cook at Mt. Cory Middle School.  She was a member of the English Lutheran Church, Bluffton, where she was active in the Women’s Bible Study Group. She belonged to the “Gathering Basket” Herb Society and helped form the CCL Club, Bluffton.
