Rockport United Methodist Church will holdits annual Memorial Day service on Monday, May 27. The service will start at 11 a.m. in the cemetery and will progress to the church.
The guest speaker will be Greg Coleman, pastor of Cairo and Rockport United Methodist Churches. A luncheon will follow.
The church is located at 5505 Rockport Road, rural Columbus Grove.

Maple Crest ladies and their guests were treated to a Far East Garden Tea on May 16, surrounded by the beauty of living flowers and plants from the Stratton Greenhouses and Asian décor from the Bluffton Et Cetera Shop and the Findlay China Rose Restaurant.
Elaborately arranged focal points and photo spots were designed by volunteers Janette Reineke, Sandy Schroll and Marilyn Shelly.
The afternoon began with refreshments that included vegetarian spring rolls with duck sauce from the China Wok Restaurant in Bluffton and authentic Japanese Green Tea from Alice Ramseyer.
Over 50 flowerpots are on Main Street thanks the efforts of Stratton Greenhouses and lots of businesses, organizations and individual sponsors of the popular "beautify downtown Bluffton program." The petunia pots were placed on Main Street on Thursday evening.
Bluffton school board will act on two resignations on Monday. Steve Amstutz, middle school teacher, is resigninng. Dean Giesige, middle school principal is also resigning.
The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary media center.
Monday's agenda also includes approving the list of graduates from the class fo 2013. That list is part of the agenda posted as an attachment at the bottom of this story.
In other action, the board will act upon a five year forecase revision for fiscal years 2013- 2017.
