Joe Warnement (Boolie), Jan Miller (Daisy Werthan) and Everett Collier (Hoke Coleburn) performed in the March 9 production of "Driving Miss Daisy," at The Centre. The performance launched the Bluffton Area Chanmber of Commerce's downtown banner fundraiser.
On the Beavers' sixth day down in Florida, they ran into a stiff test from the Moravian Greyhounds. It was low scoring affair as pitching dominated the day and Bluffton dropped only its second game of the season by a score of 4-2.
The Beavers got everything they could ask for and more out of starting pitcher Nate Simonds (Ypsilanti Mich,/Lincoln) who went the complete nine innings. He worked very efficiently, throwing only 102 pitches.
This week’s third graders are Bryan Zimmerman (Mrs. Bogart’s class), Logan Nussbaum, (Mrs. Kingsley), Jackson Wilson (Mr. Armstrong) and Robby Lyons (Mrs. Raeburn). The viewer needs to insert laughs between every other word in this interview.
Although the official recipe is still a family secret, Luke Young holds his version of the famous Gillette sausage roll, a Bluffton icon. Young prepared the rolls for the March 8 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
