BFR Sports & Fitness will partner with the American Diabetes Association for the annual Diabetes Alert Day on Monday, March 26, according to Carole Enneking, direcector.
Held every fourth Tuesday in March, the Alert Day is a one-day, “wake-up call” asking the American public to take the Diabetes Risk Test to find out if they are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
Elisabeth Gratzer, 98, died at 2:15 p.m. March 20, 2013 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born June 26, 1914 in Hamburg, Germany, to the late Franz and Elisabeth (Riess) Andres.
She retired as an auditor for a department store in Hamburg, Germany, prior to coming to the United States. She became an American Citizen in 2000. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton.
Polished Nails and Body Salon, 417 N. Main St., Bluffton, is holding a free tanning event Friday, March 22, according to Joan Frederick.
"Everyone is welcome. Great time to try our new tanning beds. Great specials. Our beds feature a unique blend of rays. They give immediate color and a desirable tan," said Frederick.
Mary Amstutz, Joanne Niswander and Nancy Schweingruber enjoy a lunch at Mustard Seed Cafe. Located in the former AC&Y Railroad depot at 560 N. Main St., the cafe officially opens for business Friday morning.
