Mennonite Memorial Home recently hosted its annual sweetheart dinner. Fifteen couples from the Mennonite Memorial Home community's nursing, assisted living and independent living areas attended.
Pictures were taken of each couple seated in front of a floral heart backdrop provided by Town and Country Flowers of Bluffton.
The couples enjoyed a special meal with dinner music provided by pianist, Sara Nowlan, an MHCO staff member.
The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association will hold its annual Good Friday Procession of the Cross. This year's event is Friday, March 29. The procession will begin at the English Lutheran Church at 11:30 a.m.
From there the route goes to St. John’s UCC, Presbyterian, United Methodist, First Mennonite and finally to St. Mary’s where the service begins at noon.
The Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton, will hold a fish fry in March. The event is from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 8, at the church.
Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for youth 11 and under. The fish fry offers all the fish you can eat, plus potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert.
It's not too early to start thinking about this year's Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Arts and Crafts Show.
This year's show is Saturday, May 11, in downtown Bluffton. Last year's craft vendors have received their invitations to return this year. Nearly 30 vendors have registered already for the show, according to Jerry Burkholder, show director.
