Having a difficult time figuring out what to gift to give some of the people on your Christmas list?

Here’s a solution: Give a Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. The certificates are available in any denomination from tellers at Citizens National Bank.

There is no cost to purchase a chamber certificate. You simply write a check for the amount you want to purchase.

Bluffton residents are invited to enter this year’s Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce residential Christmas lighting contest.

Here’s how it works:

The contest is open to any residence within the Village of Bluffton corporation limits.  The corporation expanded this year, so, for example,  residents on Dixie Highway south to and Southgate Lanes are now eligible to enter the contest.

Christmas at Apollo Craft Show is being held on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.  Admission is $2, children under 12 are free.  Lunch will be available.

The Craft Show features over 150 crafters. In addition to one of the largest selections of crafts around, the floral students at Apollo will have many arrangements that will be for sale in Apollo's Floral Shop during the show.

All proceeds are used to support Apollo student club community service projects. Apollo has several student clubs including: HOSA,  BPA, FCCLA, Student Council, FFA, and Skills USA.

On Wednesday, November 21, 2012, Bluffton police officers were called to Riley Creek Court subdivision with regard to a missing elderly man.  The 6:46 a.m. call to police triggered a response that included an Allen County Sheriff’s Office canine, and three Bluffton police officers.  The 87 year old man was last seen by his wife before midnight (November 20, 2012).

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora/Gilboa School District. The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four.

In order to pick up a box, you must register by 5 p.m. on Dec. 17  by calling 419-384-3905.

Boxes will be available for pickup on Saturday, December 22 at 11 a.m. at the Pandora United Methodist Church located on State Route 12.
