The Bluffton Sardines swim team will hold a registration and information meeting at the Bluffton Pool Shelter house (next to the pool parking lot) on at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 31.
There will be a short parent meeting to answer questions and to talk about the season. A representative from Poco Loco swim shop will be on hand for swim suit try on and purchase.
Bluffton's blue bird of happiness is a tree swallow. Several bird houses are located at the Motter Metro Park to attract blue birds. Here's one and, while the bird in this house is blue, but you might say it's a professional squatter. Click for more information.
Mosquito spraying in Bluffton started last week, according to Jamie Mehaffie, Bluffton village administrator. In his report to be made during Tuesday's Bluffton council meeting, he will note that spraying is scheduled on Wednesday evenings as needed, weather permitting.
Thursday spraying is the backup option to Wednesday. The village service department is handling the spraying. It is using a product called Duet.
Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Men In Black 3" (PG-13) will be showing at the theatre from June 1-7. All 2D seats are $3.00. All 3D seats are only $6.00.
