The Detroit Red Wings lost game three of their opening round series against the Nashville Predators on Sunday afternoon, giving Nashville a 2-1 series lead.

The Predators took an early lead, striking first less than three minutes into the game. Shea Weber collected and scored on a rebound that escaped Wings goalie Jimmy Howard and his teammates. The rest of the first went by pretty uneventfully and the Wings headed to the locker room down by a goal.

Melissa "Missy" Calvelage

Melissa "Missy" A. Calvelage of Bluffton, and formerly of Ft. Jennings died at 9:55 a.m. April 17, 2012, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born Dec. 6, 1976, in Lima to John and Sharon (Lammers) Calvelage who survive in Bluffton. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada, Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a Gold Award Girl Scout. She was a graduate of Ft. Jennings High School and Vantage Vocational School in Van Wert.

McKenna Reneker

McKenna Reneker Bluffton High School junior, and the daughter of Eric Reneker and Angela Reneker, will be among the 900 Ohio girls participating in the 66th annual session of Buckeye Girls State at the University of Mount Union, Alliance.

She is sponsored by the Bluffton American Legion Post 382, according to Bob Amstutz, post adjuntant.

Girl State session begins Sunday, June 10, and concludes on Saturday, June 16.
