Emergency Council meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 18 for consideration of a contract award for critical public water infrastructure repair.
A holiday book sale is planned at Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora, Dec. 3-4. Jilaine Graber from Faith and Life Books and Gifts, Berne, Ind., will provide a selection of books, CDs, devotionals and many other items for the book sale.
Sale hours will be 6:30 - 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, and 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Each year 10% of total sales is given to a local library to purchase books. This year's profits will go to The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center of Bluffton University.
Apollo Career Center will hold its 22nd annual Christmas at Apollo Craft Fair, Saturday, Dec. 4, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.
The Craft Show features over 100 crafters and has one of the largest selections of crafts anywhere. Admission is $2 and children 12 and under are free.
The proceeds are used to support Apollo student club community service projects. Apollo has several clubs including: HOSA, DECA, BPA, FCCLA, Student Council, FFA and Skills USA.
The Bluffton Lions Club will hold its annual Harlan's chicken barbecue on Saturday, Nov. 27, the night of the Blaze of Lights. Serving is at the Bluffton elementary school from 4 to 7 p.m. Drive-up service is available. Tickets are $7 and are available in advance from any Lion.
The Old Millstream handbelll choir from Findlay will perform a Christmas program at St. John's United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave., Bluffton.
The concert is at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5. "Come hear this wonderful hand bell choir in concert and start your Christmas season off with a ring," said Rev. Carol Clements, pastor.
