Bluffton's Matt Keeler steps in for Jesse Henry tonight at 7 p.m.
Jesse Henry is not able to play at the Town Hall tonight due to
illness.
According to Wendy Chappell-Dick: Matthew Keeler will take his place, playing a set of Americana tunes. Matt has become known in the area as the "Hurdy-Gurdy Man" and fascinates crowds with the haunting sounds of this exotic instrument from Western Europe.
Keeler will perform at 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 15, in the third floor of the town hall. His performance is part of the Town Hall Concert Series sponsored by the Bluffton Cultural Affairs Committee. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted at the door.
"After Jesse returns from his trip to Nairobi he is excited to play a
concert in Bluffton featuring some of the songs he writes with the
orphans at the AIDs school where he will be spending time as an Artist
in Residence this spring," she said. "To help fund Jesse's trip to Africa please send donations to First Mennonite Church marked "Jesse Henry."
Children and adults are also welcome to create cards or pictures of
hope for Jesse to take with him to the students he will work with.
