Bluffton's most ambitious infrastructure projects in several years will begin place soon. On Monday evening Bluffton council will act on accepting two water main replacement projects. The two projects total nearly three-quarters of a million dollars.
They involve Lawn Avenue-Jackson Street-Grove streets, and Mound-Cherry streets water main replacements.
Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, said that bid openings for the project was June 28. JDR Excavating from Findlay was the low bidder on the Lawn, Jackson and Grove project at $399,824. The engineer's estimate was $445,430.
Beaverdam Contracting, Inc., of Bluffton was the low bidder on the Mound and Cherry Street project at $372,937.50. The engineer's estimate was $470.283.
