Introducing the 2012 Bluffton University homecoming court
Seniors Adam Clark of Bellevue, Ohio, and Jessica Deeter of Troy, Ohio, were crowned Bluffton University’s Homecoming king and queen before the annual Homecoming football game on Oct. 13.

Majoring in accounting and business administration, Clark is active on campus in the Business Club, the Investment Club, chapel, Sunday night worship, the student group SERVE and intramurals. In addition, he is president of the Ultimate Frisbee Club and works at the Technology Center.
Deeter is majoring in youth ministry and recreation with a minor in graphic design. She is the Student Senate vice president, a hall chaplain and a student ambassador. Her campus memberships include the Homecoming and Chapel Planning committees, University Chorale and the Honors Program.
Other seniors in the Homecoming court were Nathan Campbell of Dunkirk, Ohio; Ally Christner of Goshen, Ind.; Scott Misamore of Findlay, Ohio; and Lisa Baglien of Fallbrook, Calif. Junior attendants were Jordan McFarland of New Carlisle, Ohio; Rachel Duncan of Northwood, Ohio; and Kayla Mullenhour of Delphos, Ohio, while sophomore attendants were Danielle McQuillin of Delta, Ohio; Matt McCoy of Archbold, Ohio; and Joe Wilson of Covington, Ohio.
Campbell is majoring in adolescent/young adult history education. He plans to become a high school history teacher and, after earning a master’s degree in school administration, would like to be a principal. On campus, he is a student senator and a three-year member of Camerata Singers. He graduated from Cory-Rawson High School.
A food and nutrition major with a concentration in dietetics, Christner is planning a postgraduate dietetics internship and to sit for the exam to become a registered dietitian. She is a member of the Bluffton University Nutrition Association, Camerata Singers and the Chapel Planning Committee. She is a student ambassador and a C. Henry Smith Scholar, and is also active in Ultimate Frisbee and intramurals.
Misamore, a criminal justice major, is involved with SERVE, Ultimate Frisbee and intramurals. He has worked in Marbeck Center throughout his college years.
Baglien is a social work major who plans either to pursue a master’s degree in higher education or to volunteer for a year of service. She is a pastoral assistant, a member of the Social Work Club and works at the Marbeck Center desk. She is a former hall chaplain and summer conference assistant, and has also been a member of the Marbeck Center Board, the Spiritual Life Week Committee and the music ministry group Shining Through.
McFarland, who is majoring in information technology and computer science, is a resident assistant, a member of Student Senate and co-leader of SERVE.
Duncan is an early childhood education major with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). She was a two-year member of the Bluffton volleyball team.
A mathematics education major, Mullenhour is a resident adviser and a student ambassador, as well as a member of the Honors Program and the women’s track and field team. The Delphos Jefferson High School graduate is also active in SERVE.
McQuillin is studying to become an intervention specialist. With a minor in youth ministry, she is a hall chaplain on campus and a member of the women’s soccer team and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
A mathematics major, McCoy is a member of the men’s tennis team, the music ministry group Shining Through and SERVE. He is involved with chapel and Ultimate Frisbee as well.
Wilson, also a mathematics major, is treasurer of the Marbeck Center Board; a hall chaplain; and a member of Camerata Singers, the University Chorale and the cast of Bluffton’s fall play, “The Real Inspector Hound.”
