Erma Augsburger was retired from Triplett Corp.
Erma L. Augsburger, 93, of Bluffton died at 10:10 p.m. Oct. 17, 2012, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born July 21, 1919, in Lafayette to Albert O. and Sarah A. Hochstettler Badertscher. On July 21, 1945 she married Ralph E. Augsburger and he preceded her in death on June 29, 1983.
Mrs. Augsburger retired from Triplett Corp., Bluffton in 1981. She had also worked at RCA, Findlay and Chamberlain’s Beauty Shop, Bluffton. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Bluffton and its Women’s Circle and was a member and past officer of the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. She was a 1937 graduate of Rawson High School and Frederick’s Beauty Academy, Lima.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary E. Augsburger of Lima, a son, Thomas (Mary Ann) Augsburger of Pandora, two grandchildren, Susan (Marvin) Maag and Brian Geiser, three great grandchildren, Jacob, Paul and Sarah, and a brother, Maynard (Joyce) Badertscher of Bluffton. Two brothers, Gene and Lyle Badertscher and a sister, Vera Mitchell, preceded her in death.
A funeral services will begin at 11 am Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Carol Clements will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mennonite Memorial Home or the Bluffton EMS. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
