Kay Parent was a Bluffton High School and Bluffton College graduate
Bluffton native Kay (Rodabaugh) Parent, 64 of Kettering, Ohio, died at her home, Jan. 14, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Franklin and Lois Rodabaugh and a sister, Rosanne Dolan. She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1966 and from Bluffton College in 1970.
She is survived by her husband, John; son Ty (Rosa) and their daughters, Sophia and Helen; daughter, Alison (Jeremy) Dee and their sons, Henry, Owen, and Charles; brothers, Fred (Patricia) Rodabaugh, and David (Christine) Rodabaugh; sisters, Karen Farmer, Dorothea Rodabaugh, and Lora (Robert) Haimes and their children.
A memorial service is planned at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Road, Kettering. There will be visitation at the church from 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 22, and one hour before the service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to The Noble Circle Project (www.noblecircle.org). Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel in care of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
