John Warren was Bluffton John Deer Implement dealer for 25 years
John T. Warren, 81, of Bluffton died Jan. 30, 2013, at his residence. He was born June 25, 1931, in Bluffton to the late Clyde and Eulalia (McCormick) Warren. He married Roberta Klingler and she preceded him in death Jan. 3, 1975.
Mr. Warren was a John Deere Implement dealer for 25 years in Bluffton and later Kenton. The Bluffton dealership was located on South Main Street on a property, which today is part of Citizens National Bank.
He was an auctioneer with his father, Clyde Warren and Sons Auctions. He was involved in agriculture his entire life. He was a member the United Methodist Church in Kenton. He was a graduate of Mt. Cory High School.
Survivors include five sons David Warren of Bluffton, Roger Warren of Bluffton, Tom Warren of Bluffton, Fred Warren of Bellefontaine, John Warren of Kenton; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two brothers Robert (Joan) Warren of Terre Haute, Indiana, Richard (Ann) Warren of Lima; a sister-in-law Jeanette Warren of Bluffton; and two step sisters Jane (Tom) Bickel and Barb VanDriest both of Findlay.
A brother, James K. Warren, and daughter-in-law Cheri Warren both preceded him in death.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Wade Melton officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery near Bluffton. Friends and family may call Sunday from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
