We caught Judy Bronson, the queen of antiques in Bluffton, while she was eating lunch in her new expanded location, at 902 N. Main St. and like everyone else who steps foot into the new location, we said: “Wow!”
Bronson moved from Deer Creek Shoppes in downtown Bluffton to the former Diller Medical building over the Christmas holidays.
“I officially opened on Jan. 21,” she said. “We are now open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.”
The business name is now Bluffton Antiques and Collectibles and the showroom floor covers 10,000 square feet, compared to 3,000 square feet downtown.
“We had 35 vendors at Deer Creek and we have that many now and have plenty of room for more,” she said. “Over 400 persons bring consignments to the store.”
Bronson has divided the shop into two sections of 5,000 square feet each – one for vendors and one for consignment items.
“Everything has been well received. I anticipate more dealers coming every day,” she said. “I working on plans for a flea market eventually. The new store has plenty of parking and as Bronson says, “we offer a little of everything.”
A grand opening is in the planning stages.
