Jim King named senior pastor at Ebenezer Mennonite Church
Ebenezer Mennonite Church has announced a pastoral change this month. Bluffton native, Jim King, co-pastor of the congregation, was named senior pastor. Dick Potter, also co-pastor, is now the assistant pastor part-time as he has entered semi-retirement.
Prior to his pastoral duties at Ebenezer Mennonite, King served for 34 years as director of Bluffton-Pandora Youth for Christ. He became co-pastor in September 2008.
Potter served in the Phillippines with the mission organization SEND from 1984 to 2004. In 2004 he joined the Ebenezer Mennonite staff as assistant pastor. He became a co-pastor with King in 2008.
The congregation has a pastoral search committee in place to find a family life-Christian education director.
