John Sheidler was a Pandora High School graduate
John W. Sheidler, 92, died at 11:50 p.m. April 20, 2013 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. He was born July 22, 1920, in Pandora to the late Ray and Pansy (Miller) Sheidler. He married Eileen Baker and she preceded him in death. He later married Marilyn Waltz Shoemaker and she survives in Pandora.
John was a farmer. He was a member of the Pandora United Methodist Church. He e was a graduate of Pandora High School.
Survivors include four daughters Mary Alice (David) Brewster of Mt. Cory, Karen (Ned) Powell of Linden, Mich., Lou Ann Dierking of Sarasota, Fla., Sharon (Dan) Reel of Delphos; two sons Tom (Marilyn) Sheidler of Jupiter, Fla., Tim (Virginia) Sheidler of Greenwood, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two step sons Randal (Vickie) Shoemaker of Pandora, Mark (Karen) Shoemaker of Pandora; a step daughter Cindy (Glen) Stechschulte of Columbus Grove; six step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Buehrer of Pandora.
A sister Genevieve Nusbaum preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pandora United Methodist Church. Rev. Duane Kemerley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora United Methodist Church.
