According to the complex, Future has confirmed via twitter that Lil Wayne’s new single “Love Me” has certified platinum, having sold more than a million individual units to date.

Lil Wayne added Drake and Future to this platinum single which feature on his new album “I Am Not A Human Being 2.”

Although his single went platinum, his album went in the opposite direction having dropped the album March 26; it moved approximately 216,000 units in the first week which isn’t normal for the mainstream superstar.

Lil Wayne usually moves albums by the millions or at least 900,000’s. Let’s not forget MTV placed the metaphor king #8 on their Hottest MC list earlier this year. Could Lil Weezy be left out the loop in this new wave of music? Or will the beat bully continue to give his fans the best wordplay and metaphors that we have come to love?
