Elizabeth Burner 1933-2013
Elizabeth A. Burner, 79, of Findlay died at 7:42 a.m. April 24, 2013 at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Benton Ridge to Frederick and Georgia Bivin Hissong. On June 23, 1957 she married Dion “Bob” Burner and he preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 2006.
Mrs. Burner was a homemaker and had been a sales clerk at House of Awards of Findlay and also was an administrative assistant at Garwood of Findlay. She was a member of Benton Ridge Calvary United Methodist Church. She graduated from Liberty Benton High School and Tiffin University.
Survivors include three sons, Mike (Jennifer) Burner of Bluffton, Greg (Kelly) Burner of Los Angeles, Calif., Scott (Holly) Burner of Houston, Texas,10 grandchildren, Zachary, Erin, Katherine, and Emma Burner, Ethan, Olivia, Mackaid and Cooper Burner, Georgia and Aden Burner, and two brothers, Fred (Patty) Hissong Jr., of Alexandria, VA and David (Betty) Hissong of Mansfield.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremations Services, Bluffton. Pastor Bryant Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Benton Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hilty Memorial Home or the American Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
