Kyle Leatherman hired as new Bluffton middle school principal
Bluffton has a new middle school principal.
Kyle Leatherman, a business and technology teacher at Gibsonburg, was picked by the Bluffton school board to replace Dean Giesige who has accepted a postion at Celina City Schools.
According to Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent, Leatherman holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Heidelberg. He holds the appropriate licensing as a school principal. He obtained that from the University of Findlay.
Leatherman is a native of Ottawa. He accepted a two-year contract with Bluffton as middle school principal and transportation director. His contract begins Aug. 1. He is married and is the father of two young children.
Denecker told The Icon that the board had a field of 24 candidates. Six were interviewed and some of those returned for a second interview.
