Part 2: More summer fitness opportunities from BFR
This is the second of a two-part series on BFR Sports and Fitness summer fitness classes. Click here for the first part.
In July, two running programs will be offered by BFR. The Walk to Run program meets twice weekly for eight weeks to prepare new runners for a 5K event. Walk to Run groups will be offered in the mornings and in the evenings.
Improve Your Run was introduced last summer for those individuals who can run without stopping for a minimum of 20 minutes and wish to improve their speed and endurance.
Improve Your Run will be offered in the morning hours. Both running programs begin the week of July 8 and conclude August 30. Cost for either program is ($35/$20BFR members) and pre-registration is required.
BFR’s Ultimate Fit program will continue into the summer months for adults (those over 18 years) who are looking for a group-based but high level option. Ultimate Fit meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-6:45 p.m. for a total of eight sessions per month.
Ultimate is led by a BFR staff trainer and includes different exercises each workout. The June program will begin June 3; registration is required by May 31. Cost for each month’s Ultimate Fit program is $40/$25 BFR members.
