Bluffton cruises past Cory-Rawson on opening night

Bluffton opened up the season with a blowout win of Cory-Rawson, winning 49-13.
The Pirates dominated on defense and on the ground, racking up 304 yards and three turnovers, two for touchdowns.
Dylan Ault started the scoring with 35-yard interception return for a touchdown early in the game and then Clay Wilson returned a fumble 35 yards for another defensive score.
Bluffton’s offense finally got on the field and Noah Stratton sprinted 42 yards for the first offensive touchdown of the season and to close the 1st half 22-0.
Austin Bricker scored the 2nd rushing touchdown on the night with a nine yard run in the 2nd quarter.
Devin Luginbuhl closed the half with a two yard dive with six seconds left in the half to finish the half 36-0.
After a long first-half for Cory-Rawson the second opened up with an 85-yard Austin Bricker kickoff return for an electrifying score.
Dylan Hartman and Ian Mosser got CR on the board with 29 and 16-yard runs respectively.
The scoring on the night was capped by a Dustin Falk 39-yard run to finish the game at 49-13.
The offense racked up 362 total yards on only two pass completions for 58 yards. The defense was stout, only allowing 149 yards total to CR.
The Pirates will hope to stay hot as they travel to Carey (0-1).
