John Moser owned Moser Dairy Service for quarter of a century

A. John Moser of rural Bluffton, 80, died on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at Frieda House Mennonite Home Communities, Bluffton, Ohio. He was born June 16, 1933, in Bluffton to Ezra and Lena Boehr Moser who preceded him in death. On Aug. 20, 1954 he married Mary Anne Bertsche and she survives.

John is survived by four children: David (Jenny) of Bluffton, Karen (Jon) Lee of Edmund, Oklahoma, Mark (Paula) of Lake City, Florida and Chris (Carmen) of Bluffton and grandchildren Rachael Lee, Bess Moser, Sara Moser, Jacob (Elyse) Moser, Emily Moser, David Moser and Jonatan Moser.

John was a graduate of Pandora High School and Bluffton University. He had been a dairy farmer, health sanitarian and owner of Moser Dairy Service for 25 years.

He served his church, teaching Sunday school and on the board. He also served on the boards of Mennonite Brotherhood Aid, Swiss Historical Society, Camp Friedenswald, Putnam County Farm Bureau, and Putnam County Board of Health.

Visitation will be from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday Sept. 20, and 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at First Mennonite Church 101 S. Jackson Street, Bluffton.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Pastors Steven Yoder and Louise Wideman officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Mennonite Home Communities, Camp Friedenswald, American Parkinson’s Association, Bluffton University (A. John and Mary Anne Moser Scholarship).
