Here's a portion of the 2014 Bluffton new year's baby's family tree
Bluffton’s 2014 new year’s baby – Lincoln David Suter’s partial family tree
Thanks to several Bluffton-Pandora genealogical records, The Icon can provide the following paternal information on Lincoln.
There are obvious missing bits of information – and we apologize for that – but this offers an idea of his family tree. As you can see by last names, Lincoln has lots of relatives in the Icon viewership area.
Unfortunately, we do not have his mother’s family records.
Parents Mark and Andrea (Nichols) Suter
Grandparents Jerry and Nancy (Voth) Suter
Great-grandparents Leland and Joanne (Buhler) Voth
Great-great grandparents Gerhard and Lucile (Steiner) Buhler
Great-great-great grandparents Samuel and Sarah (Neuenschwander) Steiner
Great-great-great-great grandparents Abraham and Mary Ann (Hostettler) Steiner
Great-great-great-great-great grandparents John and Elizabeth (Stauffer) Steiner
Grandparents Jerry and Nancy (Voth) Suter
Great-grandparents Gene and Wauneta Suter
Great-great-grandparents Harry and Lydia (Lugibihl) Suter**
Great-great-great-grandparents David and Elizabeth (Neuenschwander) Suter
Great-great-great-great-grandparents Christian, Jr. and Anna (Basinger) Suter
Great-great-great-great-great-grandparents Christian Sr., and Magdalena (Steiner) Suter
**Lydia Lugibihl parents
Peter Paul and Katie (Gilliom) Lugibihl
We do not have Peter’s parents names, however, he was one of the 163 grandchildren of the Christian and Barbara (Luginbuhl) Schumacher.
Christian and Barbara’s homestead is now owned by the Swiss Community Historical Society on Bixel Road between Bluffton and Pandora and is on the south side of the road from Suter’s Produce strawberry field. So, in one sense, Lincoln was never far from one of his ancestor’s home.
The above records are from the Icon's own collection and from the collection of the late Herb Probst, who obtained some of his information from the late Delbert Gratz, Sr.
