Bluffton forum to feature "fun fitness" speaker

Jim Steffen, a "motivational fitness" speaker and author of the book "Fun Fitness for Families," will be the guest speaker Tuesday, April 20, at Bluffton University's annual Athletics Awards Forum.

"Fit to Achieve" will be Steffen's topic, beginning at 11 a.m. in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Steffen, who holds a bachelor's degree in physical education, delivers inspirational presentations at schools, churches and corporations. He worked as a personal trainer at fitness clubs in Chicago and San Diego before returning to his hometown of Findlay, to open Jim's Gym Family Fitness in 1997.

In addition to Steffen's presentation, three awards will be presented during the forum. The top senior male athlete will receive the A.C. Burcky Award, the top senior female athlete will receive the Kathryn E. Little Award and a non-athlete who supports Bluffton athletics will receive the Larry W. Jones Award.
