How to get 85 horses coast to coast with no hay, and a little bread
Bill and Mary Ann Suter gave a Power Point presentation "How to get 85 horses coast to coast with no hay and a little bread," during the Jan. 21 Bluffton Lions Club meeting.
Bill and Mary Ann spoke about a flight across the United State in their small 85 HP two-seater Cessna 150 airplane.
The trip took weeks as they landed every two hour with a head wind. Their speed was a little faster than vehicles travelling below on the roadway.
"This was a trip packed with memories of meeting people at small airports, and having a wonderful view of the country at a low altitude," said Bill Suter.
The trip was highlighted in the recent Lions newsletter. The newsletter is an attachment at the bottom of this story.
