Trash into Cash raises funds for Bluffton Community Assistance Program
Last weekend's "Trash Into Cash" sale, sponsored by Beyond Budgeting, was more than your typical garage sale. It was a chance for the community to shop for bargains while supporting the work of the Bluffton Community Assistance Program.
In all, over $80 was raised for the program and a large box of non-perishable food was donated at the sale.
"Bluffton is such a wonderful, family-oriented community," says Beth Boehr, of Beyond Budgeting. "Because of that, when we were organizing this event, we knew we wanted to do something to give back. The Bluffton Community Assistance Program is a wonderful resource for the Bluffton community and we were so happy that we could support the good work that they do."
This was the first year for the "Trash Into Cash" sale and Boehr hopes to make it an annual event.
"We were pleased with the response from the community and the generosity of those who came to the sale. If you weren't able to make it this year, we certainly invite you to join us next time!"
